Munchen Baern

Munich was a charming adorable city with all of the Bavarian charm one would expect. Of particular appeal to me as an artist was the shop displays....

Tea shop

The glorious farmers market every type of food imaginable so fresh and delicious....

Kass Shop
the smell of roasting beef on an icy cold morning was almost too much

Beautiful mushrooms...

Sewing ideas....loved the deer appliques and nice use of ribbon. Good contrast agains the military cargo purses.

Adorable and only about 79 Euros...

The Germans love their felt. And with these color combinations I can see why!

Woodworking shop. All woodworking done in Austria and Germany. Priceless. I bought Beloved a mushroom-shaped nut cracker for his birthday.

Authentic Bavarian accessories using deer, boar, bone and teeth with some eidelweiss thrown in there for an accent :)

Himmel dollhouse and collectibles...

This Christmas I gave you my heart

Authentic Bavarian accessories of feathers teeth coin and bone.

The Dirndl Shop of which there were many!

Shopping mall display

Gorgeous dried fruits on display....

Too pretty to eat!

Apotheke

A common theme of Bavarian culture: Deer, antlers, fawns, gnomes, mushrooms  acorns horns and hooves....

Traditional Bavarian dirndl costumes-these were NOT cheap!
One of my favorite stores beautiful wood products

In the basement was a beautiful array of brushes, combs and grooming kits. The combs alone were about 8 euros each. But worth it. So gorgeous.

Millinery Shop

Beautiful display of traditional German clothing just off the main square.

loved the velvet wool and taffeta clothing

Felted wool slippers and hot water bottles casings :)

German toy store with the kids

Wooden fruit toys

Wooden toy fruits

These chains are suspended with charms of amethyst, stone, coins, horn, boar and deer hair and deer teeth and then hung between the buttons on men's bundhosen (traditional Bavarian shorts usually made out of soft deerskin and or wool)

more Bavarian children's clothing

Missoni Home Decor

Chocolate Shop with the kids :)

Munich had much to see and explore. If not the main square then the little shops begging for you to spend your money inside. German craftsmanship was well at hand and everything was made with the finest of detail and best quality of ingredients. I could have bought much more than the wooden mushroom nutcracker i bought for Beloved at the store pictured above :).

Hope you enjoyed the window-shopping. On to our next stop, which were the museums....Auf Weiderhsen
